Akimasa is from Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. at Kyoto University. During his doctoral program, he studied the relationship between herpes simplex viral infection and exercise immunity, and the relationship between female sex hormones and psoriasis, under the supervision of Prof. Kenji Kabashima. He joined the Huh Lab in 2024. He is interested in studying the effects of oral microbiota on skin inflammation.
