Lab member since 2023

Changhon Lee earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences from Konkuk University. He obtained his Ph.D. in the Department of Life Sciences at POSTECH in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Sin-Hyeog Im. His research interest focuses on understanding the gut microbiota-immune axis. During his ph.D., he worked on identifying microbial species and molecules with immunomodulatory potentials, studying chemical and functional properties of the molecules and investigating the underlined mechanisms. Also, using immunoregulatory microbiota and microbial molecules, he examined the prophylactic/therapeutic efficacies within multiple experimental animal models of inflammatory/autoimmune diseases.  After postdoctoral research training in the same lab, he moved to Huh lab for postdoctoral research training in 2023 to expand his knowledge towards understanding microbiota-neuro-immune interactions. He is interested in studying the role of microbiota and the immune system in regulating brain functions in the diverse neurological disease settings.
