Yeonjae Jung, PhD

Postdoctoral Researcher
Lab member since 2026

Yeonjae earned her B.S. (2020) with a double major in Food & Nutrition and Biological Sciences and her Ph.D. (2026) in Bioinformatics from Seoul National University, South Korea. During her doctoral studies, she focused on identifying gut microbiome biomarkers across human cohorts, including inflammatory diseases and neurodevelopmental disorder, using metagenomic and multi-omics data. She also worked as a researcher at CJ Bioscience, Inc., where she collaborated on diverse R&D projects and gained experience addressing interdisciplinary research questions. She is interested in extending her research to explore the underlying mechanisms linking the microbiome to host-side immune responses. She joined the Huh Lab in October 2026 for her postdoctoral research training.
